Our goal is to create sustainable homes that delight and surprise. We believe in a holistic approach to design, working to improve existing and historic buildings while embracing our passion for new design.
The studio philosophy is to be helpful and thoughtful – good architecture needs to be functional, honest, and conscious of the environment, but also thorough in its design and execution. Starting from these principles, we create beautiful homes that allow modern family life to thrive.
The practice was established in 2020 by Simon Rickards after a number of years working in the residential sector in the UK and New Zealand. In the same year, the practice won a RIBA Journal competition for their proposed approach to rejuvenating a historic building.
Educated at the University of Bath, and gaining a BSc in Architecture, Simon went on to complete an MA at the Royal College of Art in London. Alongside his experience in the architectural field, Simon has extensive experience in editorial and strategic design working for international publishing houses.
